Yoga and Body Image: New class offering, "Befriending your body"

When it comes to disordered eating, it is easy to find yourself in unrelenting cycles of self judgment, painful emotions, and harmful behaviors. There becomes a disconnect between your body and your own wisdom and knowledge. This 6 week series is designed for those looking for embodiment and self-compassion practices to support their own healing around disordered eating. 

Each week we will foster a discussion around Dr. Biasetti’s book, Befriending Your Body: A Self-Compassionate Approach to Freeing Yourself from Disordered Eating. We will also incorporate yoga based movement, body awareness practices, meditations, and journaling exercises from the book. Each week will be based on a specific chapter(s). Feel free to read or just come for the group meeting.
